Sad Words

Lauren had a meltdown at ballet which is nothing unusual. However, during the middle of it she cried and said "I don't want to be that girl with Autism. I want to be that normal girl. No one else my family is girl with Autism. I want to be like all of other people."

I knew it was coming, it didn't make it easier, but I knew it was coming.

And it sucks just as much as I thought it would.

I read your comment on baseballs and butterflies blog. My son has Emanuel's syndrome which effects the 11th and 22nd chromosome. I was wondering if you were a part of c22c.org. We are on Facebook and have quite a team of support going for each other. My name is Jennifer and my son Jackson is 4. Is a duplication genetic? I noticed your other children don't have it.

Yep. It sucks to have that conversation with your child. Crying with you - Katie
