Lauren is sick. We sent her to school and she was fine. However, they called and 10:00 and she had thrown up.
That brings me to my biggest fear in school: throwing up at school. I spent most of my elementary school years terrified that I would one day throw up there. There could have been nothing worse then throwing up to me. I remember thinking that if I threw up at school one day I would simply never come back.
I know exactly where that phobia came from. It was a Ramona Quimby book where she throws up in 3rd grade.
I never did throw up at school and I think I've gotten over my phobia as of now. It's a good thing that we haven't read any Ramona books to Lauren. We might be looking for new schools now.

Sick Mommy
I've been sick for the last few days. Just a cold but a bad one. I do have a faithful nurse. Nurse Ellie. She hold my hand and tells me "get better Mommy" I can't turn around or she's kissing my head. She brings me soaking wet, dripping wash clothes (she can't read, she doesn't know they are supposed to be damp) and covers my head with them.
I have to get better soon, I'm being loved to death.

Happy Birthday to Me!
I turned 32 today and it was a great day.
We went to church and then out to eat. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for brunch. It is much more affordable for lunch then it is for dinner. We had 3 pieces of cheesecake (it was my birthday so we splurged). I wanted that instead of cake.
Lauren and Ellie insisted on chocolate so they shared Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. Bob got Peanut Butter Cookie Dough or something like that. I got Bannana Cream. It was great except the littlelst girl kept eating all the bannanas bfore I could get to them.
We went home and played with my birthday present some more. All I wanted was Wii Fit. We are having a great time with it. The girls love the running section. We have made Miis that resemble them so while you run they shout "there's me, I'm running the wrong way"
Bob left for work. I ended up taking Ellie for what I thought was strep but ended up being an ear infection. Of course on Monday, she was fine. I never did get that antibiotic filled. (Shh, don't tell! Most of my family would think that was child abuse). We stopped by to see Bob. Then, we went to bed and Lauren throw up all over me at 1:30 am.
It is the life I always wanted 10 years ago. I just didn't know it.

Surgery Cancelled
I just cancelled Ellie's surgery. She has a slight fever, is very congested, and has a cough. It's nothing that would bother her on any other day. I've been through the recovery before and it's difficult. I'd rather her be in optimal health rather than sub-optimal.
They might not have even done it. I'd rather decide to cancel it then spend a few hours at the hospital tomorrow only to find out that no one will operate on her.

Sick kid
At least I hope it's only the singular!
Lauren came to me last night and told me to feel her and her head hurt. I offered her some Tylenol. Before I could spit all the words out, she threw up all over me.
Thankfully, that was the last of the puking!
However, Ellie has surgery on Monday and this cannot spread through the family. It must end with Thing 1.
